The original plan was to scan this piece of artwork, and actually try to make it look good. And while it looks "okay" now, there's always perfection to consider, and that means pulling it into an actual paint package like Deluxe Paint or Brilliance or AutoDesk Animator and working on certain areas that were a little bit weak in the original artwork.
Most notably, Phobe's face will be entirely repainted for a more "photorealistic" look, and certain bits like her hands and the food, and well, whatever else seems to need it will get a good pixel-pushing. The new version, Phobe---ULTRABLAST! will be at a full 300 dpi (vs. 200 dpi) and will definitely wind up on someone's wall, and my agent tells me that someone from the Louvre has already called and might even want a T-shirt, to boot!
