Assisting Latin American Residents Exploring New Music Technologies

Assisting a computer music exchange program between the Center for Research in Computing and the Arts, the Laboratorió de Investigacion y Produccion Musical (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (Stanford University, California), funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Produced concerts of Roberto Manzanares-Morales (December 1), David Horta (March 2), Aluizio Arcela (March 9), and the Laboratorio de Investigación y Produccion Musical (March 10).

Preparing 5-year report of the Intercambio/Exchange program.

Promoting the development of computer music in Brazil. Serving as a member of the music committee for the selection of music for the second symposium for computer music in Brazil, taking place August, 1995 in Canela. Producing the compact disk that will be distributed at the symposium, in conjunction with the Brazilian Computer Society.

Creating a ftp archive of piano compositions.
Entries include standard midi files and documentation.
The next concert takes place April 28 at 8:00 at CRCA.

organized by Joseph Deken (dekenj@sdsc.edu),
presently in association with
the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Diego county.
Activities at the Clairemont branch
include an art gallery.
Serving as a board member and a music specialist.

Cyber FestTelephonic Performance

Participant in New Music International Festival, promoted by Servio Marin at National University. Concerts will take place April 20 (CRCA), April 21 (Chamberlin Hall, National University), and a panel discussion at CRCA on April 22. Will perform computer-mediated improvisation (Saudades de Ouro Preto" and give a paper on algorithmic performance.

Performances with telecommunications systems at remote sites. Will be performing May 12 at the Multimedia Expedition, at Channel 38 in Del Mar.
