Slept until nine. We were out of sight of land and the sky was overcast. The deck steward arranged the usual march around the deck, community singing, dancing and other diversions to help pass the time. I met two young ladies who were going to San Francisco for their vacations. It was my turn to impart information to a fellow traveller, about the strange port ahead.
Spent a quiet afternoon watching the porpoises and a few seals. The old tub doesn't seem to be moving--I want to get home! There was dancing again this evening but I passed it up for another good night's sleep.
